Player’s Code of Ethics
1. a) Each player must respect
- his/her teammates
- the coaching staff
- members of the opposing team
- the referee(s)
b) Respect means the following:
- using language that is appropriate in dealing with each party.
- Accepting constructive criticism from each and all parties listed above.
- Avoiding physical, verbal, or psychological abuse at all costs.
2. If physical, verbal, and/or psychological abuse to any of the parties listed in #1 occurs, sanctions will be levied as follows.
1st incident: 2 week suspension from practice and games.
2nd incident: 6 week suspension from practice and games.
3rd incident: Membership in the Abenakis is forfeit indefinitely.
3. During matches, the coach and/or captain will be responsible for removing players from the field for violations of the articles mentioned in #1 b). Players will abide with decisions made by either party.
